$10 to Share Our Strength, I've had my candy, and I'm all out of alligators, so on to the list!
1. Love - I feel very blessed to have the love of my wonderful husband, family, and friends in my life. It sounds kind of sappy, but as long as I have love I'm happy and don't really need anything else. D'awwwww.
2. Lavender - One of my favorite flowers, for the color as well as the fragrance. I've always thought lavender smells romantic and feminine, but also grown-up; it's a rather old-fashioned fragrance, which is another thing I like about it because it evokes a bygone era. Plus lavender tastes good too; I've had lavender-flavored shortbread and candy, and they were yummy!
3. Libraries - Probably one of my favorite places to go on the planet. As soon as I learned to read around 4 years old, I started going to libraries, so I've loved them for almost as long as I can remember. The smell of books, the quiet atmosphere, and just being surrounded by all that knowledge distilled down into physical form that's right there at my fingertips and waiting to be absorbed makes me happy. Every year that I was in school up through college I would always spend most of my free time in the library, and I'd just grab a random book off of whatever shelf I'd sit by and start reading; the first time I read stuff like The Decameron and On The Road were as random grabs while waiting around between classes in the library. I wouldn't mind working in one, either!
4. Lizards - They're just adorable! When I was living in Florida, we used to have small lizards get stuck inside the house (they were everywhere!) and I used to catch them and let them go outside. Feeling those little tiny claws on my hand as I would carry these delicate little creatures outside was just an amazing thing, and just seeing them makes me smile. One of the few things I actually miss since I've moved to the Midwest.
5. Lemons - My favorite citrus fruit, because they're deliciously sour. Not only do they taste good when used in all sorts of ways, but I love their bright and cheerful color, and they have a refreshing smell. I love lemon in my tea, and I love lemon desserts like lemon tarts and lemon bars. When I was around 4 or 5 I used to walk to the library with my grandfather once a week, and afterward we'd go to the little Italian market that was around the corner from my apartment building and he'd buy me a lemon Italian ice. So lemons also make me think of happy childhood memories; yet another reason I love them.
6. Laughter - One of my favorite sounds! I'm kind of a goofball and I enjoy making people laugh; since I'm a shy person in real life a joke or funny story is a nice way for me to strike up a conversation with someone when I'm feeling nervous.
7. Labrador Retrievers - I love dogs, and labs are one of my favorites. They're adorable, and almost always very sweet and friendly dogs.
8. Legos - I've loved Legos ever since I was a kid. Even now I love playing with them, they're just fun and relaxing, and I'm always amazed when I see some of the incredible sculptures people make with them. Also the video games are very fun, especially in co-op mode; I've played through the Star Wars ones with my husband and it was a lot of fun. Of course, after awhile we'd just start killing each other over and over after one accidental friendly fire incident too many. :D
9. Ladybugs - One of the few bugs, along with butterflies, that I like; they're cute!
10. Labcoats - They look neat, and somehow they make you feel smarter just by wearing one. Also, you can't be a proper mad scientist without one!

We have a scraggly litle lavender plant that we don't really take care of yet somehow it keeps coming back year after year. It seems like they only die if I try to tend to them, lol.

Ha! That's how it is with most of my plants too XD They don't like to be smothered with love or being forced to listen to The Beatles (>.> The Beatles are kind of my official soundtrack for gardening)
